Putin extends measures against Russian oil price cap till 2024

MOSCOW, Jun 26 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree extending until the end of 2023 the retaliatory measures on the Russian oil and oil products price cap, according to the document released on the portal of legal information on Monday.

The measures were due to expire on July 1, now the new date is December 31.

In December 2022, Putin signed a decree prohibiting supply of Russian oil and oil products if the contract directly or indirectly provides for a price cap imposed by Western states. The ban on oil supplies came into effect from February 1.
